Staying at My Sonar was a fantastic experience overall. The rooms were excellent, meeting international standards with ample space and great comfort, providing a perfect retreat after a busy day. The service was exceptional, with a caring and friendly staff offering top-notch assistance. While the location is ideal for business near Science City and New Town, some aspects seem to be declining. The dining at Royal Bengal was delightful, especially with Jeevan's exceptional service, yet with slight room for enhancement in vegetarian dishes.
I had a mixed experience during my stay at the hotel. The rooms were average but we were lucky to get an upgrade to a Princess Suite & ITC ONE smart Suite. The service seemed demotivated, but the location was convenient for my activities in New Town. The dining was somewhat limited, and the facilities were satisfactory overall.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were huge and very aesthetically pleasing, truly befitting a 5-star hotel. The menu had a great assortment, and the view overlooking the lily pond was fantastic. However, it was a bit concerning that the mini-bar wasn't locked before the room was cleaned.
The Royal Bengal hotel offers spacious and beautiful rooms that might benefit from refurbishment and maintenance. The service provided by the staff, especially Puja Singh and Swarnali, was exceptionally courteous and hospitable. The location in Halden Avenue of Kolkata is good for access to the airport and nearby areas, though not air-conditioned. The dining experience at the coffee shop in ITC Sonar showcases a variety of freshly prepared dishes. The hotel's facilities are adequate for a comfortable stay.
